Tortoise

Crochet a little Turtle that’s impossible not to keep close. With its bright green body, round glossy eyes, tiny legs, gentle smile, and beautifully layered shell, this little Turtle has a calm and cheerful personality. The shell is the star of the project. You’ll shape the rounded body, crochet the legs and head, build the shell in separate layers, and carefully assemble everything into its recognizable turtle form. This project gives you a chance to practice working in the round, shaping, layered construction, symmetry, stuffing, and assembly. Follow our step-by-step video tutorials and printable PDF pattern, pausing whenever you need a closer look. Display it on a desk, make it for a turtle lover, or add a peaceful little friend to your crochet collection. Small, calm, and full of handmade charm.
